Kai and the Lion

Kai:

When mommy asked me what I wanted to be for Halloween, I said "Kai the red ninja from Lego Ninjago" (of course, why didn't mommy think of that?!).  Mommy thought that since Ninjago was pretty popular that the costume wouldn't be that hard to come by...wrong. 

 

I was very insistent on being involved with every stage of the costume planning.  Did I want a red ninja costume from the store? No.  After finding some great threads on the internet about "how to make a Kai the red ninja costume", we ordered the costume online and then mommy got creative with the symbol on Kai's chest and the head piece.  It was decided that I would be wearing Kai's training outfit vs. a more advanced outfit (in her defense, mommy really didn't know there was more than one "outfit").

 

And this is the final result...not too bad, huh?

 

 

 

 

The Lion:

Em was a lion this year-isn't she cute? I was a lion when I was two years old too.  Mommy made the costume more girly by adding leggings and a bow.
