Moving Dirt

Over Memorial Day weekend, we moved some dirt...we dug up some roots...and we transplanted a play set - all by noon on Saturday!  Grandpa Cary, Grandpa Larry and Uncle Logan moved their equipment in the backyard and the work began.  The piles of dirt to level and move were from the geo-thermal lines.  The dirt will still settle some more, but not all of the remaining dirt will settle.  I tried hard to restrain myself from helping while the machines were working.  Later I did get to help by breaking up the large clumps of dirt.  Em also patiently waiting and watched (from inside) - did I mention it was 90+ degrees on Saturday morning?

After the dirt work was done in the backyard, the crew headed over to Uncle Paul and Aunt Kelly's to move the play set.  Now Em and I have swings in the backyard.
Let the leveling begin!

Watching from the back door.

Finally...a level back yard (sort of).
Patiently waiting.

Finally!  Some work for the kiddos!

Our 'new to us' playset!
