T-Ball started at the end of May with practices twice a week. I am on the Red Team with a couple of buddies from school. I met some new friends at the first practice and also learned about the bases, how to stretch, what to yell when the ball is hit towards you ("I Got It!") and how to field ground balls.
When it was time for hitting practice, the coaches discovered I hit from the left (it surprised them when I hit the ball towards them instead of towards the fence like everyone else!). After that practice, mommy decided I should probably have a left-hand glove as well (I kept trying to put the right-hand glove on the wrong hand, it just didn't feel right).
The morning of the first game, mommy and I went early to work the concession stand for the first game (we were the second game). I was a great help with the popcorn and drinks (seriously, I was). I was a little hesitant when it came time for my game, but when it was time to do stretches and run the bases, I was all in! When it was my turn to bat, I hit off the tee and ran the bases. When it was our turn to field the ball, I made sure to say hello to everyone I knew on the opposing team. After I greeted my friends, I thought it would be best to fashion my glove as a hat and kick up some dirt. That kept me so busy, I didn't realize it was the end of the game and time to shake hands for a "good game". Can't wait until next game!
UPDATE: Well, the first game was actually my last t-ball game of the season (the last one I fully participated in), so enjoy the below pictures. The second game, I made mommy play in the outfield with me and come up to bat with me and bring my Gatorade. Even after a talk with Uncle Caleb (who was home for the weekend), I wasn't interested in the game, I just wanted to go home and swim. After I declared I didn't want to practice or play t-ball anymore, mommy talked to the Coach Clint and daddy and her decided to let it go until next year.
