Happy Birthday G-Man!
Today, our little man turns 4 - hard to believe he is growing up SO quickly! If you ask him, he will tell you he is four years old-he is very proud of that!
Over the summer, he developed a love for Legos (we think it has something to do with his cousin Luke's obsession with Legos). Ever since then, he pours over the Lego magazine when it comes in the mail and is always creating something with the Lego pieces he has collected. Between Christmas and his birthday, he is well on his way to a large Lego collection! He never ceases to amaze us with his imagination and telling us about what he has built and/or what it does.
He has continued to develop his personality and as his pre-school teacher put it, "he is coming out of his shell"! Although shy and timid at first, he will quickly warm up to a situation. He continues to go to pre-school in the mornings - Monday through Friday and has speech therapy 3 days/week.
Every once in a while, you will catch him singing a song he learned at school - most recently it has been Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, complete with the sign language actions.
Crafts and creating continue to be fun ways to pass the time with him. He loves to paint and play with Play-doh and if you need a helper with ANYTHING, he is right there with you. He even got a grown-up tool bag for Christmas.
At his 4-year old well check-up, he weighed in at 44.2 lbs and is 43" tall - both put him in the 95%-neither of which we are surprised about - he has always been tall for his age.
Everyday he has something new for us - whether it is a new word, phrase or sound learned at school or speech or a new idea or activity he wants to try - you gotta love this stage and their curiosity and genuineness!
