Where Has the Summer Gone?

Where has the summer gone? That is what everybody has been wondering. Pretty soon school will start, football games will begin and Uncle Caleb will move across the state to begin his freshman year at U of I. But just because summer is almost over doesn't mean that I haven't been busy...as you can see above, I help mommy load the detergent after the dishwasher is loaded and make sure everything is closed up before she turns it on.

I have learned how to give "knucks" - in the above picture, I am giving cousin David "knucks".

Each and every meal, I am getting closer to mastering my fork & spoon. Sometimes my efforts end up sending the food onto the floor, but sometimes the food ends up in my mouth. This weekend, I was using crackers as the vehicle to get the cottage cheese from my plate into my mouth.

And I LOVE riding the mower around with Pa Pete (NOTE: Pa Pete isn't mowing while Grady is riding). And my language skills are becoming clearer day by day too - "mommy" and "please" are the most distinctive, but pointing to what I want and saying "please" really helps too!
