This week's events - the state fair, the cooler temps, the neighbors taking down their pool for the season (much to Grady's dismay) and back to school night at school - all signal that summer is coming to a close and school will be beginning soon.
Last night at the back to school night, Grady met his new teacher and new classmates and was able to explore his new classroom, new school and put away his school supplies. I remember when I was younger, I loved going back to school shopping - new, fresh supplies; some new clothes; new fresh start to the year - I loved it all! And Grady is no different, he loved going school supply shopping and picking out the supplies on his list - Em even got a couple of things too.
This year Grady will be going to a different school, so there is some apprehension. His Grandma Lisa works at this school and some of his cousins attend too, so there will be familiar faces around.
At the back to school night, he was able to find his seat, unload his supplies, explore the classroom, meet some of his classmates (there are only 11) and meet his teacher.
He found his seat!
Sitting at his desk - his first seat assignment is between 2 girls!
The first week of school his job will be the Prayer Leader.
Grady with the principal, Mrs. Gray (a.k.a. Grandma Lisa).
Grady with his teacher, Mrs. Yuskis.
And of course we couldn't leave without checking out all of the toys in each of the centers!
