The Camp-Out

Last weekend, Nanny Patty and Pa Pete brought daddy's old tent to our house, as they were cleaning out part of their garage.  I didn't think much of it, but later on in the week daddy mentioned camping out on Saturday night!  I was pumped!

 

During the day on Saturday we started setting up the tent.  The weather forecast was calling for rain, but we thought we would take a chance...so Saturday night came and so did the rain.  We needed the rain, but I really wanted to camp-out in the tent too!  Pa Pete and daddy managed to finish putting up the tent in between the rains (I helped some too). 

Daddy, mommy, Em and I actually got in the tent for a few minutes.  We quickly discovered that the tent has some holes (funny how the rain makes the holes appear!).

 

Daddy and I settled on camping out in the living room, with our air mattresses.  We cooked hot dogs inside and made s'mores in the microwave.  We made shadow puppets and told spooky stories about witches and ghosts.

 

Before it gets too cold out, we will try to camp-out again...this time outside, but maybe with a new tent.
