We (actually Pa Pete, the plumbers, the contractors and daddy) are making some good progress on the new house.
The porch went up last week and makes a big (positive) difference to the look of the front of the house (top photo). The shingles will be added in September - it was too hot this past week to be up on the roof. And don't worry, all of the new shingles will be the same color - the gray color that is on the addition. Currently, we have 3 different colors of shingles going on.
The upstairs (the kids') bathroom is near completion too! Mommy and daddy painted last weekend and this weekend, the trim was added (note that these pictures were taken before the floor trim was added.) Next to the toilet (2nd picture) will be the sink/vanity. And the empty space next to the shower (3rd picture) will be open storage shelves. Pretty soon the sink will be installed, as well as a shower curtain, shower shelves and storage shelves. This bathroom is a far cry from what it was - pink, green and lots of pastels!
