Emma's 1-year stats:
-Weight: 20 lb, 6 oz (25%) - still our little peanut!
-Height: 28.5" (40%)
-Head: 46.5 cm (80%)
In the last week, she has taken more and more steps and lately she just wonders around the house on her own. She also likes to make laps around the dining room table.
The process has begun to switch her from bottle/formula to sippy cup/milk. Let's just say it has become more of a battle...
She has been babbling more and more, saying "mamamama" and "dadadada". She does get excited when Mickey Mouse, Cars or Handy Manny come on the TV. In the dr. office she was very excited to see the Cars decor on the walls!
Right now she is holding steady in 12 month clothes and some 18 month clothes. She has chubby, wide feet, so only certain shoes will fit her. And speaking of shoes, she doesn't mind wearing them, but she definitely likes to chew on them!
She has 5 teeth and we expect more to pop through any day the way she has been knawing on everything.
After visiting the eye dr., eye surgery to fix her clogged tear duct situation has been scheduled for Friday, August 5 - there was a cancellation, so Emma got right in. Hopefully this will resolve the eye goo & gunk issue. At this age, the success rate is 90%+. Mommy & daddy are just having a hard time thinking about Miss Em "getting masked and going under" for the procedure (which will only be a two minute procedure at the most). Keep us in your thoughts & prayers!
