Today we went for Emma's 3 Year well child check-up. No shots were required on this visit, so her appointment got pushed back and re-scheduled a couple of times - one time for our reasoning and the other time because the clinic messed up (we actually showed up on a day when she didn't have an appointment...and there wasn't one on the schedule...oh well...)
Height: 35.25 inches (9.1 percentile) - she is such a little peanut!
Weight: 29.2 lbs (29.8 percentile)
She couldn't tell Dr. Minnick if she was a boy or girl (she SO knows the answer!). She drew a circle and cross and told him her name and age. We talked a little bit about potty training and about her left eye. It is still putting out gunk daily, so Dr. Minnick wanted the ophthalmologist to take another look to make sure the tear duct wasn't closed again. Since she has had 2 previous tear duct probings in August, 2011 and March, 2012, I was anxious to hear what the next steps would be.
We were able to get an appointment later in the afternoon with the eye doctor, so Emma and I killed some time consignment store shopping, after we met mommy's friend Michelle for lunch. Dr. Weller, the opthalmologist, said that as she grows the tear duct would grow more and less and less gunk will come out. Basically, just wait it out some more. He did NOT recommend any more surgeries-yippee!
